We got our Christmas tree up last Saturday. It was lots of fun and I had just decided in my mind that it was the prettiest tree we'd ever had, when it crashed to the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a horrible noise and mess. I am pretty sure that I was the one who knocked it off balance by pulling a chair from behind it. Fortunately only one precious ornament was lost. Growing up, my mom always bought a special ornament each year for us, so it could have been much worse. The one from 2000 was shattered and 1984's head came off, but the others all survived. It is definitely not as fun to decorate the tree the second time around in an evening.

Caleb and Adam have always been hugely impressed at how Aunt Angie has a tree in every room of her house and each year they ask when we will do the same. So, last year Aunt Angie gave us two little trees for them to put in their room. We put one in our front room and the other in theirs. I found these great Nutcracker ornaments at Lowes for them to use on it. They had a blast putting it together and love using it as (very bright) night light.

Wouldn't this make a great Christmas card picture if they were wearing different clothes?
